Takeup and use of private health insurance by young people

Rising health insurance premiums and higher rates of use by older Australians have led some commentators to predict that rates of coverage for young people will continue to fall. Some government policies have explicitly attempted to stabilise enrolments of young people in private health insurance.
In this report, we analyse the coverage rates of young people and how they use their health insurance.
