Participant roles and responsibilities
The Review of Government Service Provision (the Review) is a cooperative Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) process involving the Australian, State and Territory governments. It is an integral part of the national performance reporting system, and is responsible for producing a range of reports that enable performance comparisons and benchmarking between jurisdictions and within a jurisdiction over time.
The Review operates under COAG-endorsed terms of reference and charter of operations.
The Steering Committee for the Review is committed to a principles-based approach to refining the content of reports and improving the processes of managing the Review. The following guidelines explain the roles and responsibilities of Review participants, and should be read in the context of the terms of reference and charter of operations.
The guidelines are refined periodically, based on experience and feedback from Review participants and users of Review publications, and to reflect COAG developments. This version was created in August 2017.
